The Rotary Club of Madras initiated the concept of the Rotary Club of Madras Boys Town in 1988 in partnership with the international Children's Trust, United Kingdom.

The Rotary Club of Madras Boys Residential Facility is what it is known as today. The Primary aim of the club is to rehabilltate disadvandaged rural youth and help them realise their potential, irrespective of their caste, creed or regligion.
